Post Reunion Report: From Carol (Kunak) Fabian: I just wanted to let you and all who read updates that the Class of 67's reunion was as always a blast.  Our class for some good reason has just hung in there. The people just really enjoy seeing each other. Post Reunion Report: The Saturday Nov 4, 2006 WHHS combined reunion of classes 1960-1961 goes on record as a HUGE success.  Classmates arrived not only from CT, but from CA., FL., GA., IL., MA., MD., ME., NY., PA., TN., & WI. Class members mingled, laughed, danced and even a few tears were shed.  The food and service at Madison's in Shelton was first class.  A nostalgic addition to the evening was the music of the fabulous 50's group, Yesteryear.  The evening ended with everyone joining together in the singing Harding's Alma Mater. A job well done by 1960 class committee members: Aggie Biroshak Miller, Elaine Varnum Lombardo, Vinny Lombardo and Chairperson Ted Parisi. For the class of 1961, committee members were: Elaine Bennett Gall, Phyliss Vitulano Bruno, Ruth Pencek Gall, Linda Bukoff Dorman and Dee Wust Forman, chairperson. There will be a 50th year class reunion.........date to be announced!!

Other than that, if you want a drink, you buy it, if you are hungry, go downstairs and buy food, otherwise the mingling and dancing are free. Sounds pretty informal - and sounds like it would be a fun time.

A BIG "Thank You" to all who came out and attended the East-Enders' Picnic at Seaside Park last Sunday (July 16th). We had an absolutely beautiful day under the trees, with a cooling breeze coming in off Long Island Sound. And what a view -- Chico Rivera couldn't have picked a nicer spot. Lots of old stories, old photos, and old and new friends, along with good food and a few "cold ones" made the day memorable. If you couldn't make it, you were missed. We may try to do this once each summer!

The "East Enders Alumni Association Big Bash Reunion"

April 17, 2004: Buffet Dinner and Dance with DJ Shirley,  and the 50's group "Yesteryear" at Roberto's Restaurant, Monroe, CT. 
April 18th. 2004: Sunday MASS and Reception at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Union Ave. 
April 18, 2004: Old Time "C&C Pizzeria" Party at "Salerno's Apizza" at 1398 Barnum Avenue. 

We had over 200 attendees at the April 17th Dinner Dance, some from as far away as California, Colorado, Wisconsin, Florida, Maine, and South Carolina, and some from as nearby as Trumbull and Monroe. Highlights included almost two hours of all our favorite "oldies" sung by local vocal group, "YESTERYEAR", (visit their website, click on: Yesteryear ) whose singing quickly filled the dance floor with many smiling faces and dancing feet. "DJ Shirley" followed with a few more hours of old favorites. Many thanks go to the reunion committee: Barbara (Olson) and Frank Roman, Dee (Wust) Forman, Sue French, Vicki (Mastroni) and Nick Caracciolo, Elaine (Swanson) Michols, and Joann (Pallock) Warner, whose work, time, talent, and enthusiasm produced such a wonderful and memorable reunion.

Sunday morning's Mass and Reception held at Blessed Sacrament Church brought about many more reunions, and many of the 65 attendees were barely able to get to Salerno's Apizza in time for the 2:00pm start of the "C&C Pizzeria party". Owner and host, Carl Salerno, son of the founder of the "C&C Pizzeria", which was originally located in the East End on Connecticut Avenue, baked up pizza's with the taste of "the good old days". Many thanks to Jay Sullivan for his work on the Blessed Sacrament Reception, and to Carl Salerno and Janice Orr, for their work at the Pizza Party.

Our Reunion Committee reported an excess amount of $700 following the payment of all "Big Bash Reunion" related expenses. This remaining money has been donated to "Swim Across The Sound"  one of the major fundraising activities of St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation and which helps cancer patients and their families. The Foundation is the fundraising arm of St. Vincent's Health Services and supports St. Vincent's historic mission of caring for the sick and the poor. The combined reunion for Harding's 1962 and 1963 Graduation Classes was held on Saturday, November 23, 2002, at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, in Shelton, CT.  The Reunion Committee, (1962)  Sandy Napoli Corso, Janice Orr, Marilyn Cocchiola Goodwin, Marilyn Schneider Atkinson, Grace Fornaciari Keller, Marion Burns Lecardo Jimmy Sinnott, and (1963) Ingrid Deutschendorf Haffner, Sue French, Joan Scalzi DiPronio, and Barbara Olson Roman did an outstanding job, with over 150 people in attendance. It was a night of reconnecting with your roots, reminiscing with the kids you grew up with, lots of dancing, and finding out that we haven't really changed all that much. TO THE ATTENDEES OF THE WHHS '62-'63 WHHS CLASS REUNION: I just wanted to thank you all again for being a part of the reunion. So many of you travelled a long distance. I only hope that you each had as good a time as I did. And thank you, fellow committee members for all the time and energies you spent on this successful event. Kudos to Janice, Marilyn, Marilyn, Marion, Jimmy, Mauren, Bill, Barbara, Ingrid, Sue and Joan. The music was great, the dancing outstanding and the rekindling of old friendships was worth a walk down memory lane. As Jim mentioned, the night ended all too soon. If only there was more time to have spent with each of you. Even though 39/40 years has passed, we're all still the same "kids at heart" that graduated Harding.....only a little older, a little grayer, and a whole lot wiser. Harding High School 40th Year Class Reunion: Combined Classes of 1960 and 1961.

The combined reunion for Harding's 1960 and 1961 Classes was held on November 23, 2001, at the GRASSY HILL LODGE, in Derby, Ct.  Dee (Wust) Forman reports that the combined reunion was a great success! Members of both classes sang and danced to DJ Louie Zayas' great selection of the 'music of our time', while the performance of YESTERYEAR, singing all our 50's favorites, added to a memorable evening as we 'Twisted' and 'Strolled' the night away. Good Food!, Good Music!, Good Friends! What could be better? It was a wonderful evening, and a wonderful memory!
